| Dear friends of the Festival Musica Antica a Magnano, Like a Mosaic, where many different small stones come together to miraculously form a beautiful image, Luca Taccardi, Georges Kiss and I have chosen several works that may seem disparate, but which, when put together, give us the pleasure of inviting you on a musical journey through time and space. We will begin our journey in 16th-century England and then travel across Europe from north to south and east to west, across the centuries. So, book your seats now for our Easter Concert and be sure to arrive on time for the start at 9 p.m. on Sunday, 5 April, at the Chiesa Santa Marta in Magnano. In addition, you can already find the detailed program of the 41st Festival on our website. It will begin on 31 July and 1st August at the Chiesa Romanica di San Secondo with two concerts by the Ensemble Instrumentum Vocale, whom we are delighted to welcome back for the second time after their magnificent concerts in 2023. Also, at the Chiesa Romanica di San Secondo, there will be two concerts by the Ensemble Mirum Musicis with ‘Le goût étranger, façon de la Chine’, (The foreign taste, in the style of China) and those by the Ensemble Concerto di Margherita with its five musicians who excel in both vocal and instrumental performance at the same time. Soprano Giulia Ghirardello will be accompanied by the well-known Turin-based Gianluca Cagnani during the traditional organ concert at the Chiesa Parrocchiale on Sunday 23 August, two days after the final concert of the summer courses. The German ensemble Alta Belezza will close the 2026 Festival with two open-air concerts on 28 and 29 August in the superb setting of the Ricetto di Magnano. Reservations for all these concerts have already begun. Of course, our website will also provide information about our Easter course from 3 to 6 April and our summer courses from 13 to 22 August, which we already know will see participants from all over the world arriving in Magnano. After the Capodanno Concert, which marked the end of Musica Antica a Magnano's 40th year and offerd you the opportunity to discover the magnificent young violinists Carole and Estelle Champrétavy, as well as flutist Nina Lecocq, we look forward to seeing you again in a few days at Easter and next summer.
