I wish you a pleasant reading.

Dear all,

Today, I'm writing these lines to you from the land of Gouda, tulips, windmills, and the wind that keeps them turning. Céline and I came to this flat, peaceful country to meet the artist photographer Michèle Polak and the clay-straw house builder Tom Rijven. These two beautiful souls, although very different from each other, share a truly inspiring journey, and will therefore be the subjects of our upcoming films, in which we are committed to sharing more of these positive and inspiring stories.

But for now, here's some recent news from my photography and videography.

New Photos Online

Although Céline and I have been putting a lot of energy into making our films for the past two years (see the article below), I still continue to point my camera on the beautiful landscapes and atmospheres I am given to see.

I am therefore pleased to share with you my latest images taken over the past few months in my online galleries. You will find them all gathered in my gallery « Recent Work ». Morocco, Sri-Lanka and Swiss Alps are in the spotlight.

I hope you enjoy your visit.

2026 Swiss Alps Calendar • A New Look

My Swiss Alps 2026 Calendar is already available in my online store.

This 2026 edition is the 16th since its very first publication in 2010. For the occasion, I called upon the experienced eye of my friend and faithful graphic designer Edouard Puginier, to give it a bit of visual freshness. And it is the Matterhorn that once again wins the privilege of making the cover. This image, captured during a photography workshop, shows us an impressive cap of clouds sweeping over the summit at sunset.

2026 Calendar

As for the other images in the calendar, this year you will be accompanied by the Hohgant (Bern), the Aiguilles Dorées & Aiguilles du Tour (Valais), the Obersimmental & Wildhorn (Bern), the Dents du Midi from Dent Favre (Valais), the Centovalli (Ticino), the Oberaarhorn (Valais), the Stockhorn (Bern), Lake Chei Seewji (Valais), the Val Piora (Ticino), Mässeralp (Valais), and a view from the Loutse pasture (Valais). Enough to take you on a beautiful journey once again throughout the Swiss Alps throughout the year.

Videography • A new path

If you have been following our photography activities, you have probably noticed that Céline and I have been posting more and more videos on our YouTube channel. This exciting new activity, which is becoming a growing part of our work, germinated several years ago.

A New Chapter

In our daily lives, but also during our many travels, which have always been a great school of life, we have constantly been aware of how much the world is full of positive and inspiring people, stories, or events. They remind us that an optimistic world does indeed exist, and we wanted to bear witness to it. Even if photography can be a powerful medium to reveal this beauty of the world, video offers a whole other dimension. The alchemy of the image associated with sound, music, speech, and narration, transports the viewer, offering a mixture of discoveries, knowledge, well-being, beauty, and much more.

Our First Stories

Our video adventure really began at the end of 2023, during our second trip to Morocco. The primary goal was to meet our friend Youssef, a Saharan guide we met four years earlier and who had left a lasting impression on us with his humanitarian work with the last nomadic communities in the desert, driven by an inspiring philosophy of life. From this was born the film « Youssef, a heart for nomads ». During this trip, we also met Madani, a former nomad who, for more than fifteen years, has been regreening a corner of the desert thanks to permaculture. Sharing these two magnificent stories was an honour and a pleasure. The hundreds of touching comments on our channel made us realise how many of us need the supportive and positive energy transmitted by these characters and their teachings.

Our Commitment Continues

This feedback encourages us to continue. Since then, we've shared the stories of Bernard Bertrand, who dares to live differently; Ananda Guillet whose Kokopelli association campaigns for free access to reproducible seeds; and 'Hervé Coves, a true lover of life. The comments remain as moving as ever, sometimes even overwhelming. So we are continuing this wonderful adventure.

Living

For now, we are self-financing all of our films. We do not know if this work will ever become sustainable and allow us to make a living from it, and for that, we must still rely on photography. However, we are counting on community support (Tipeee, PayPal or direct payments). In a world where the true value of things ends up being lost amidst the "everything free", we hope that the positive response our films have from the public will be enough to continue together to produce and freely distribute these stories. The first steps are very encouraging and promising, and I take this opportunity to sincerely thank all those who have already shown their generosity. It is thanks to you that we will be able to continue. The machine is launched, and we trust life to follow this very enriching path.

Soon On Our Channel

In a few weeks, we will be sharing a new story: that of Michèle Polak, a Dutch photographer. She will share her inspiring journey and the importance of art in her life. This will be followed by the story of Tom Rijven, a touching man who, after more than thirty years building nearly 150 mud-and-straw houses for others, is preparing, at the age of 79, to put down his nomadic builder's suitcases and finally build his own house, out of mud and straw of course.

Tom Rijven

To conclude, I would like to share the slam "Qui à fait ça ?" (Who Did That in French) from Romain Brouard (Dix Mille), an exceptional musician. Our film about Hervé Coves inspired him to create this little gem of musical poetry.

I leave you with this Sri Lankan landscape of a curtain of light flooding the mountains of the Maskeliya region, not far from the famous Adam's Peak.
