At our Jeune Fédéral ecumenical service we will be praying for “Peace with Creation”. Sunday 21st September is also UN World Peace Day. I urge us all to continue to pray for peace across our war-torn world, as well as in our closer relationships. Here are resources, produced by Churches Together in Britain and Ireland, to help us to pray lasting justice and peace for the Holy Land. https://ctbi.org.uk/news-and-events/middle-east-prayers/
16.00 Gingins - Evening Prayer (with Sunday Club. Please let Betty know if you are bringing children).
Protect Versoix River
As part of our Season of Creation, you may like to add your voice to the public consultation about the landfill development alongside the Versoix River.
The Vaud Cantonal authorities are currently planning to develop a landfill in this area, which will potentially cause untold harm to the water, bird, plant and animal life that depends on the river and adjoining land.
Letters need to be sent by 19 September. Click here for more information. If you would like help to write the letter in French please let Liz Le Feuvre know.

Stephen Ministry Training
Stephen Ministry is a confidential 1:1 caring ministry and a core element of the Pastoral Care strategy of La Côte.
Training begins on Thursday 25th September at 7pm (on Zoom) for any who are interested to learn more about how to provide care, and have an interest in being Stephen Ministers. Training is provided over 20 sessions, mostly online, and includes how to deal with feelings, the art of listening, assertiveness, boundaries, coping with grief, caring for those who are depressed and many other topics.
Stephen Ministry Suisse Romande needs new Stephen Ministers and so please do seriously consider whether this is something you would be interested to explore. If you have any questions please talk to Jeremy Burrows.
Girls' Gathering
We are pleased to announce the start-up of a new discussion group for women at La Côte. The aim is to meet once a month on a Tuesday evening, so that those who are not available for day-time events can also join in. This will be an opportunity to share a simple pot-luck meal together, hear a speaker on a particular contemporary issue and discuss informally, as well as to spend time getting to know each other better.
At our first meeting, on Tuesday 30th September, Liza Zogib will speak on the topic of Nature and Spirituality. We will gather in the parish rooms of the Nyon Protestant church at 19h30. Please let us know if you would like to join us. Sarah French and Heidi Hawkings.
