As part of our Season of Creation, you may like to add your voice to the public consultation about the landfill development alongside the Versoix River.
The Vaud Cantonal authorities are currently planning to develop a landfill in this area, which will potentially cause untold harm to the water, bird, plant and animal life that depends on the river and adjoining land.
Letters need to be sent by 19 September. Click here for more information. If you would like help to write the letter in French please let Liz Le Feuvre know.

Youth Alpha Course - 14 September 18h30, Divonne parish room
We are very excited to start our Youth Alpha course this coming Sunday.
This will be a great chance to explore the big questions about our lives and purpose and where faith might fit in. No prior knowledge of Christianity needed. This is a course for those who have been Christians a while – and for newcomers who’d like to find out more. All of us have much to learn and this will be a chance to explore and grow together in a safe and relaxed setting. You can also bring along friends.
The first session is entitled Welcome to the Conversation. Come along to share food, get to know each other and explore some great questions.
Please complete the registration forms here and let us know by 12th September as Betty is kindly cooking Chinese food for us. Lucky Alpha Course - yum!
Further information and to sign up to Alpha here.
For primary school age children our Sunday Club is also starting back up on 14 September. More details here.
For under 5's - more details here
For 11 years and upwards - Online sessions with Joy. More details here
You can find more information on all our programmes here or contact Betty Talbot.
Girls' Gathering
We are pleased to announce the start-up of a new discussion group for women at La Côte. The aim is to meet once a month on a Tuesday evening, so that those who are not available for day-time events can also join in. This will be an opportunity to share a simple pot-luck meal together, hear a speaker on a particular contemporary issue and discuss informally, as well as to spend time getting to know each other better.
At our first meeting, on Tuesday 30th September, Liza Zogib will speak on the topic of Nature and Spirituality. We will gather in the parish rooms of the Nyon Protestant church at 19h30. Please let us know if you would like to join us. Sarah French and Heidi Hawkings.
