All things come from you and of your own do we give you
1 Chronicles 29.14
Dear La Côte Church friends and family,
As we head towards Gift Day and our Thanksgiving service at Crassier at 16.00 on 15 June, we are thinking with gratitude of the many people and groups involved in the life of our church.
Our Church Council are pleased to be able to present short profiles of members of our congregation over the coming days, which we hope you will enjoy and find inspiring. Thank you to all who have contributed!

My name is Christine Carey and I am a member of the La Côte Church Community and have been attending services in Gingins since 2000. Over the years, I have helped out in many roles from leading the Social Care Group to teaching Sunday School, but most recently, in the last five years I have been volunteering to read Bible passages in the service.
At its most basic, the role involves signing up on ChurchSuite the online platform to indicate your availability. For many, it is seemingly straightforward to do the ‘readings’. For me it helps personally to prepare for our Sunday hour we spend together each week, by reading and reflecting on the passages in advance. This makes the service more enriching and fulfilling, and of course every effort, big or small, helps to deliver our ‘service experience’ in our volunteer-run church community.
If you are thinking of volunteering you are never alone as our wonderful Wardens Liz Bramley and Diantha Terry are there to provide you with ‘large font printed version’ and words of encouragement.
Finally, I have been asked to share a resource I find particularly encouraging - for me it would have to be a piece of music: Gabriel Faure Requiem. (Agnus Dei, Pavane hard to choose!) Choir King’s College Cambridge. David Willcocks You Tube link
We would like to express our deep gratitude to so many of you who contribute to the mission of our church with your generous gifts of time, talents, and financial support. This gift day forms a vital part of our finances. If you can contribute with an extra gift, here are the details of the church bank account:

If you would like to discuss regular giving, please contact Mark Warren.
Thank you very much for your kind contributions.
Finally, please take a moment to reflect on how fortunate we are to have all the positive things that our church life provides and to offer a prayer of thanksgiving.
From Jessica Chapman (La Côte Church Council member)
