WEEKLY BULLETIN

23 April 2026

Dear La Côte Church family and friends,

We are looking forward to our worship followed by our AGM in Divonne this coming Sunday. One of our set, lectionary readings is Acts 2.42-47. What a gift for an AGM Sunday service! May I invite you to use the passage as a lens through which to read our AGM reports.

Questions to think about:

1. Looking back over this last year, what connections do you see between the

early church described in Acts, and the life of La Côte Church?

2. Looking forward, how might this passage inspire our life together and our

outward focus and engagement?

CLICK HERE for the AGM Activities report. Our official documents – including our finances and minutes of last year’s AGM, are found HERE.

Acts 2: 42-47

42  They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.

43  Awe came upon everyone, because many wonders and signs were being done by the apostles.  44  All who believed were together and had all things in common;  45  they would sell their possessions and goods and distribute the proceeds to all, as any had need.  46  Day by day, as they spent much time together in the temple, they broke bread at home and ate their food with glad and generous hearts,  47  praising God and having the goodwill of all the people. And day by day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.

And whether you can join us or not, please pray for our meeting, for us to discern God’s blessing and leading for the way ahead.

Here are words to guide us, adapted from Frederick Buechner’s saying “Listen to your life”.

“Listen to the life of your church.

See it for the fathomless mystery that it is.

In the boredom and pain of it no less than in the excitement and gladness:

touch, taste, smell your way to the holy and hidden heart of it

because in the last analysis all moments are key moments,

and life itself is grace.”
