From Camaret to Horta – A Journey Home

Following an arduous yet inspiring voyage from Camaret to Horta, ENOLA has found her home on the beautiful island of Faial in the Azores for the next few weeks.

Our captain, Gregory, has truly fallen in love with this place and is now a proud resident of this remarkable island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.

During this 10-day and 1.460nm passage, the crew thoroughly tested ENOLA, reviewed all systems and identified areas for improvement. Further refit work is underway in Horta to ensure that ENOLA is ready to welcome our first crew members aboard before she continues her voyage south and west. Stay tuned for more updates, photos and behind-the-scenes stories as we prepare for the next stage of the journey.

📍 Horta – where every voyage begins again

If there is one place that captures the soul of ENOLA, it's Horta on the island of Faial — a legendary haven for Atlantic-crossing sailors. Here, adventurers from all over the world meet, share stories over coffee or gin do mar at Peter Café Sport and adorn the harbour walls with vibrant artwork, each piece telling a tale of courage, dreams and the boundless sea. For us, Horta is more than just a waypoint; it’s a symbol of connection between oceans, generations and ideas. Every time we return, it feels like coming home; every time we leave, it feels like setting sail from the heart of something timeless. From this harbour, the ENOLA comes alive again, with the hum of the wind, the scent of salt and fresh paint, and the promise of unseen horizons. If you ever plan to visit or sail to Horta, get in touch — we'd be happy to put you in touch with our local contacts and friends.

🔧 Refit – Progress Under Sail

The ENOLA refit is moving forward steadily — one bolt, brushstroke and brainstorm at a time.

Despite the challenges we faced earlier on, our new partnerships in the Azores have brought renewed energy, craftsmanship and optimism.

We are combining technical excellence with a creative spirit to gradually shape ENOLA into the expedition vessel she is meant to be.

Our captain and media team are documenting every detail, and we will soon share a dedicated Refit blog post featuring stories, lessons and the beauty of transformation at sea. Because every turn of the wrench brings us closer to the horizon.

🧭 What’s Ahead – From Horta to Horizons

After stopping in Horta, we’ll set sail for the Canary Islands, Cape Verde and finally Grenada, arriving just before Christmas.

Follow ENOLA's journey live or, even better, join us and become part of the adventure! A few berths are still available for our Atlantic crossing in December 2025 — a once-in-a-lifetime adventure under the Swiss flag!

☀️ Summer 2026 – Your Ideas, Set the Course

After our Caribbean passage in spring 2026, we’re already charting the next great route: England, Scotland, Norway — and beyond into the northern lights.

Now we want to hear from you:

Where should ENOLA go next summer?

What projects, expeditions, or collaborations would you love to see?

Our members help define the course — so share your thoughts, dreams, and ideas. This journey belongs to all of us.

🌍 Where’s the Crew? – Life Between Swells

The crew is currently based in and around Horta, with the majestic Pico volcano looming large on the horizon.

While Captain Gregory is overseeing the ongoing refit and logistics — with the invaluable help from his son Vadim, our media man Dimitri has returned to the mainland. His energy, creativity and dedication were unparalleled in documenting ENOLA’s journey from Barth to Horta. We are deeply grateful for his work and are looking forward to sharing his photos, videos and reflections from this incredible journey.

These are weeks of transition — between ports, projects and ideas — as we prepare for the next chapter: the great voyage south.
